NEW YORK!!!!!

Jason and I went to New York over the 4th of July. We went with Danielle, Jason's mom Dora and his sister Julie and his brother-in-law Paul. We had an awesome time. This was my first time to New York and even through we did a lot and saw a lot I left feeling like I didn't do or see enough, I guess that's a good reason to go back. But when I do go back it will for damn sure not be in the summer, it was sooooo humid. People tried to warn me, but nothing could have prepared me for this. It was about 80 to 85 degrees, but with 100% humidity. It rained almost everyday we were there. Our main purpose of the trip was to see a Yankee game. Jason and his family are HUGE Yankee fans. This is the last season in their current stadium and we wanted to see a game in it one last time. So we got ticket's for the Yankees Boston game on the 4th of July. The game was a blast, even though it was rain delayed for about hour. We had the best seats, we were on the 3rd base line about 8 rows off the field. We had a few close calls with some fouls balls, good thing Jason brought his mitt!! Other that then game we didn't have any real plans we just wanted to see as much as we could that meant WALKING!! I have never walked or sweat as much as I did on this trip. We walked so much I didn't feel guilty about all the calories I consumed from alcohol, it was a wash. Anyway, all in all we had a great time. Jaxon stayed with my Mom and Dad and was spoiled rotten (what else is new). I will blog his adventures with Nana and Bapa when I get my mom's camera. Here are some pictures from our trip, enjoy!
Jason, Danielle and I at the airport the night we left. We took the red eye, it was awful. I took my Tylenol PM's too early and our fight was delayed a half hour. I barley slept a wink in the plane. I had to do what I vowed not to do.....Nap as soon as we got to our hotel.

Our hotel was in the heart of Time Square.

This was Time Square from our hotel room.

Time Square again.

Derek Jetter bobble head.

This is where Fashion Week is held every year.

Empire State Building. This was about as close as we got. We definitely need to go in next time we go.

Grand Central Station

I think Paul said this was the United Nations.

On our first day we decided to try this Mexican place call Rosie's (or something like that). A few people had recommended it for their guacamole and margaritas. It took us 40 minutes to get there and when we did we found it didn't open until 4pm, it was 1pm. So we decided to make the best of things are had a few drinks at the pub across the street until it opened. It was appropriately called the

First of many, many drinks. Cheers!!

This was when we finally made it to Rosie's. Everyone was right the guacamole and the pomegranate margaritas were worth the wait.

The Statue of Liberty. Okay not the real one. but they had these all over the city for the upcoming All Star Baseball game they were hosting the following weekend.

We found this little Pizza place off the beaten path call Ray's. Umm Umm Good!!

We took the subway to the Yankee's game. It was quite an experience. There were so many people down there are and it was so humid you could barley breath. Everyone was sweating just standing there waiting.

Yankee Stadium!!!

When one is in Yankee Stadium one must have a Yankee Dog. Danielle is going to kill me for posting this!

Remember I told you that we had awesome seats. They were good for two reason's one: they were close to the field and two: I got to stare at this the entire game.

I LOVE A-ROD!!!!

Jeter is also yummy!

This was a flag made out of Yankee hats.

The piano from Big at FAO.

UGH! I am getting tired of this blog. I took so many pictures it's hard to pick which ones to post. You will have to come see the photo album if you want to see them all.
