"Zoooo"

Today was Jaxon's first trip to the zoo. He was so excited on the way there even though he had no idea what the zoo was. He keep saying "Zooooo". When we first got there we decided to start with the train ride. Jaxon loves choo choo's. Then we walked all around the zoo and saw all the awesome animals. Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Jaxon on his first train ride. He had a blast and didn't want to get off (surprise, surprise). He looks like he is about to sneeze.

Our second stop was to see the famous "Ghost of the Bayou".

Then we were off to the elephant exhibit.

I keep trying to get Jaxon's attention, but there was no way he was taking his eyes off that huge thing. I think he was too scared to move, the elephant keep making weird noises.

Next it was the rhinos...

Then the small primates..

We then went to see the zebras, but if you ask Jaxon they were horses.

We were lucky enough to see the black bear. He didn't stay out that long, can't say I blame him.

The next animal's was saw made Jaxon's whole day, the penguins (a.k.a Happy Feet). Anyone who knows Jaxon knows that he loves the movie Happy Feet., and by love I mean we watch it once maybe twice a day!

Once I was finally able to drag Jaxon anyway from Happy Feet we made our way to the giraffes. They were so cute.

After lunch we stopped by the cheetah exhibit. I was able to get Jaxon right in front of the glass so he could see this cheetah walking back and forth right in front of him. He was mesmerized or scared shitless, it was one of the two.

Jaxon was brave enough to take a picture with the bronze tigers.

Our last stop was to see my favorite, the gorillas. Unfortunately they were all napping. So I decided if I couldn't get a picture of Jaxon looking at the gorilla's I would have him pose with the bronze gorilla.

Does he look like he's having fun or what???? I am pretty sure that he will forever be traumatized by this moment. I was after I realized that the gorilla's boobs were bigger than mine. Yikes!!

Well, that was our adventure at the zoo.
Here is the last picture of the day!

One and a half...

Jaxon recently turned one and a half! I can not believe how big he is getting. He has begun singing his ABC's and can make it all the way to G, not bad for 1 1/2. But the best is when he sings "know my know my ABC's" instead of now I know my ABC's. Here are some pictures from the last week or so.

Jaxon loves to feed himself.

The other night I was bored and wanted to see if my camera would take pictures in the dark and sure enough it worked. It was pitch black in his room when I took this. Yes, that's a binky in his mouth. I keep saying that I need to take it away, but I just can't bring myself to do it! Maybe when he's two....

This was on his actual one and a half year birthday. He was being shy so this was the best I could get.

I took these this morning and just thought that he looked so cute in his new hat.

Hippie!!!

Yesterday I decided to dress Jaxon in his hippie clothes. He is wearing his tie dyed shirt that Leone brought him back from Moab and his crocks.

Me and My Dad!!

I thought this was the cutest picture of Jaxon and Jason. They were watching Jason's uncle cut a tree down.

Uncle Andrew I mean "Gus"...

For some reason Jaxon has started to call Andrew "Gus". It is the funniest thing, unless your Andrew. Jaxon can say Andrew he just chooses not to. Here are some pic's of Gus playing with Jaxon.

Gus throwing a ball at Jaxon's head.

Jaxon waiting to get hit with the ball.

Gus chasing Jaxon.

Jaxon kicking the ball.

Dex

Jaxon is head over heels in love with his cousin, Dexter. He has been saying "Dex" for months. Jaxon was lucky enough to play with Dex this weekend at a family party.
