Spring Fun and Easter Festivities

Disclaimer: This post contains a lot of pictures.........................................................................................

The past couple of weeks have been filled with a lot of fun activities. A couple of Friday's ago my Mom and I took Jaxon to the "Toadally Awesome" frog exhibit at the museum. It was a really interesting exhibit with a lot of different frogs.

Jaxon and I have been doing a lot of baking. Here he is "helping" me.

Here he looks like he got into the flour, but he actually got into the powdered doughnuts.

Last Friday Dexter was on his spring break, so he came along with us to good old Jungle Jim's. Both boys had so much fun riding the rides and playing the games.

On Saturday we went to Aunt Yo and Dexter's for a little Easter party. They were great hosts and put on an egg hunt for the kids, followed by egg coloring and cookie decorating. I'm not sure who had more fun, me or the kids!

Isn't he cute?!?!

Look at that concentration.

Jaxon must have been really good this year because the Easter bunny sure did bring him a lot of stuff.

The Easter Bunny must have know that Jaxon needed a bigger hoop. That silly bunny also left a basketball hoop and Nana and Papa's!

Here he is posing with his ball and his new underwear!!!

Putting his loot in his piggy bank.

As if the Easter Bunny had not brought Jaxon enough stuff. Uncle Andrew surprised Jaxon with a new bike!!

Jaxon loved stomping open the eggs as much as he liked finding them.

Shooting some baskets on his new hoop.

Cheese:)

Go Tigers!!!!

It’s official in August Jaxon will be a Cosgriff Tiger!! Nana was especially excited about this as she is an alum of Cosgriff. He has been accepted into their 2yr pre-school and will be going 2 days a week. Jaxon is excited to be going to the same school as his cousins, Lorenzo and Dante.
I am so exicted for Jaxon to be starting this chapter in his life, but I am not so excited about the tuition!!!!

Fun with Nana and Papa!

Jaxon is very lucky to have his grandparents in his life. Here are some pictures of the fun activities he gets to do with them.

Jaxon is becoming quite the cook thanks to his Nana.
Here he is making a pizza.

A trip to the Museum of Natural History.

Playing with some homemade play dough.

Kite flying with Papa.

Adios diapers!!

About a month ago I decided to start potty training Jaxon, well it only lasted for about a day. Then this last Sunday I decided he was ready after I noticed that he would tell me every time he was peeing and asked to be changed. So on Sunday morning I put him in some underwear he wasn't really sure what to do at first and had a few accidents, but after his nap he got the hang of it and hasn't had an accident since!!!! We even went to a basketball game last night and he told me every time he had to go. I though it might be too good to be true, but this morning he woke up dry and pee'd in the toilet rather than his diaper! He is so smart and I am so proud of him.

My friend Faye

Jaxon has a new BFF. He and Faye have become fast friends. He is constantly asking me when he can play with his friend "Faye". Last week we went over to Faye's house for a play date that consisted of making cupcakes for her birthday party, playing some games and giving their dog a bath. Jaxon had so much fun.

Miss Faye eating a yummy cupcake.

Jaxon frosting one up.

Bath time for Kobe.

An intense game of Operation.

The following day we went to Jungle Jim's to celebrate Faye's 4th birthday.

Jaxon was quite the slugger when it was time for the Pinata.

This picture cracks me up. We didn't even know this girl, but Jaxon needed someone to ride with.
Jaxon was finally brave enough to go on the roller coaster. I went on it with him and to my surprise he liked it so much he made me ride two times in a row!!!!

Good Old Sue Rich!

This past Friday Jaxon and I picked up Dexter from school and went on a little adventure. We started by dining at Jaxon's favorite restaurant, McDonald's. Once we all had our fill of the white trash in the McDonald's play land we decided to stick with the white trash theme and went to Sue Rich Bowling Alley. For those of you that aren't familiar with Sue Rich let me assure the place is sketchy at best. When we pulled up all the lights were off, but we decided to try the door anyway. The door was unlocked so we went in and yelled hello, to our surprise the guy who worked there came crawling out from behind the lanes. We asked him if they were open, he said that they were (could have fooled us). We ended up having the whole place to ourselves and we had a great time. Jaxon even ended up beating Dex the first game!

Ok, so I only beat Jaxon by 2 pins, but at least I beat him!!
For the record Dex beat Jaxon the 2nd game.

Discovery Gateway

As a state employee I have a few perks (I used to have more, but thanks to the recent budget cuts they are becoming few and far between), anyway I had this last Monday off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. My mom and I decided to take Jaxon on a little field trip to the Discovery Gateway. Jaxon had a great time and was exhausted by the time we left.

My Mom took Jaxon to the Museum of Natural History last week as well, she got some good pictures of him with the dinosaurs that I will post soon.
